The Powys Community Endowment Fund
Background
The Powys Fund currently comprises 3 grant programmes, offering support to individuals and groups based in Powys for the purposes of education and recreation/leisure.
The grant programmes open for applications are:
• Stanley Bligh Memorial Fund - supports vocational education projects for groups and individuals in Powys, with precedence for residents of Brecknockshire
• Brecon Girls Grammar School Fund – funds educational projects for groups and individuals in Brecknockshire
• Montgomery District Trust – supports recreation and leisure projects for groups in Montgomeryshire
The Fund makes contributions to projects of up to 50% of costs and grants of up to £1500 are available. Please refer to the criteria for specific details.

Resolven, Clyne and Melincourt Community Project Fund Background
This is a community benefit scheme funded by RWE Npower Renewables for the residents of Resolven, Clyne and Melincourt, in the Vale of Neath and is linked to the nearby Fynnon Oer windfarm. Grants of up to £1000 are available to support local community and voluntary groups engaged in environmental, educational, and other community projects.

Background
The Newport Fund supports community groups, local charities and social enterprises in Newport, South Wales. The themes supported include education, health and well-being, young people, and community projects.

Background
The Wales & West Utilities grants programme support community groups, voluntary organisations and local charities across Wales that are running environmental projects that engage and involve the local community. Grants of up to £2000 are available to support capital and revenue costs.

Sport Relief Community Cash
Aims
Sport Relief’s Community Cash grants aim to support work where there is clear evidence of a sustained beneficial impact on people’s lives that are excluded or disadvantaged through low income, rural or social isolation, age, disabilities, race, sexuality or gender.
Who can apply?
Small local community groups undertaking work that helps people of all ages feel more included in their community, builds their skills and increases their sense of achievement. Groups must have an income of less that £50,000 (in the last year) and be run by local people working in a disadvantaged or deprived area within the local authority of Cardiff.
Grants available
Groups are invited to apply for grants ranging between £500 and £1000

The Gwent High Sherriffs' Community Fund

To provide a safer and better quality of life for the people of Gwent by supporting community based initiatives and projects.
What will it fund?
The fund will support projects that tackle the following issues:
Youth at risk
Crime prevention
Drugs and substance misuse
Community Safety
Who can apply?
Community groups, voluntary organisations and local charities in the local authority areas of Newport, Blaenau Gwent, Torfaen, Monmouthshire and Caerphilly.
Grants available
Groups are invited to apply for grants ranging from £250 to £2500.

Comic Relief Standard Grant Scheme
What will it fund?
Half of the available funds are aimed at projects that increase access to sport and exercise for people who face social exclusion and isolation, or are experiencing difficulties in their lives. The remaining grants will be awarded to projects that increase local services, build skills of local people, increase community cohesion, respond to local economic needs.
Who can apply?
Community groups, residents associations, community centres, social enterprises/community interest companies, credit unions
Grants available
Applicants can apply for between £1000 and £10,000 to support revenue and/or capital projects.
